Fill Color in Layers
I am trying to fill a shape that is assigned to a layer - when I set the fill
color it does not display on the screen unless I unassign that shape from all layers. How can I show the fill color on the screen and keep it assigned to a layer? Thanks NHMM |

Fill Color in Layers
The challange is that a shape can be a member of several layers
simultaneously, so the only sure way to ensure that it only uses the color of one layer is to manage the layers that it participates with. David Parker just did a great piece over on his blog http://bvisual.spaces.live.com/blog/...33A9!180.entry al "NHMM" wrote: I am trying to fill a shape that is assigned to a layer - when I set the fill color it does not display on the screen unless I unassign that shape from all layers. Fill Color in Layers
Al,
Thanks - a good recommendation. I read it over and was able to clarify my question but not directly answer it. The issue is - I have a color assigned to my layer (Red). If I remove the color assignment I can fill the shape any color I want and keep the shape assigned to the layer. If I assign a color to the layer I cannot fill the shape at all (at least I cannot see the color). The shape is a member of only 1 layer. Basically it looks like my choices a 1) assign a color for my layer or 2) fill my shape But not both - any ideas? ....or assign your shape to more than one layer (because Visio will
automatically use no layer colors then) "NHMM" wrote in message ... Al, Thanks - a good recommendation. I read it over and was able to clarify my question but not directly answer it.
