I have been needing to update my Publishing Program and it says you can't
update without the disk, which has gotten lost, in fact all of my disk that came with my computer I can't find. Any sugessions? I really need the disk, I've called Microsoft and they were no help at all.The told me that they quit making the disk for Windows ME. I'm wanting to write and book so I need to update my Publishing and Office programs, can't do it without the disk. If anyone out here could help me it would mean the world to me because I'm a disabled women wanting to write a book about how I became disabled, and the book would help alot of people. Thank You |

Thank You 1) I assume you mean Home Publishing which has never been, is not, and never will be a part of Office. 2) The disc was provided with your computer, therefore the manufacturer is the only one who can assist you. MS does not, will not, and, indeed, cannot assist with OEM software. All support, including replacement discs and media is the responsibility of the manufacturer. If they can't help you're SOL. I refer you to the OEM EULA: - "PRODUCT SUPPORT. SOFTWARE support for the SOFTWARE is not provided by MS, Microsoft Corporation, or their affiliates or subsidiaries. For product support, please refer to Manufacturer's support number provided in the documentation for the HARDWARE. Should you have any questions concerning this EULA, or if you desire to contact Manufacturer for any other reason, please refer to the address provided in the documentation for the HARDWARE." So, the only person who can assist you is the manufacturer and, ias I stated above if they cannot and/or will not, then you're SOL. -- My great-grandfather was born and raised in Elgin - did he eventually lose his marbles? |
