sumif function
Dee,
You have to use a VBA function to read the ColorIndex value of a cell. See the "Counting Cells With A Specific Color" section at www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm for more details and example code. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel www.cpearson.com "Dee" wrote in message ... In your example where you start the loop:
For Each Rng In InRange.Cells What is "InRange"? It is not declared (Dimed).. I can't find it in Object Browser,, This is probably elementary, but any comments appreciated TIA "Chip Pearson" wrote in message ... the "Counting Cells With A Specific Color" section at That should be the "Summing The Values Cells With A Specific Color", at www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm . -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel www.cpearson.com "Chip Pearson" wrote in message ... sumif function
It is passed to the function as an argument, and is declared in the Function
definition. It's similar to say =SUM(A1:A100) in a worksheet function, the A1:A100 is an argument to the SUM function. -- HTH Bob Phillips "JMay" wrote in message news:XZg9b.14214$pe.2638@lakeread06...
