Default "Microsoft Office Can't Find The Field referred to...

"Microsoft Office Can't Find The Field field_name referred to in your
expression"

My basic aim is to compare two numeric values, and colour code the reports
results accordingly.

The report generates fine until I add conditional formatting then I get the
error mentioned above.
The strangest part is that it applies the colour coding anyway (and
correctly) however one of the fields shows as "Name?" all through the report.
Remove the conditional formatting and all values show correctly again!

Any suggestions welcome, It's driving me mad!

Thanks in advance!

I should probably add that the conditional formatting is not being applied to
either of the fields being compared. It is intended to be applied to another
field of the same record.
