Changing Publication Date and Pg. Nos.
I've created a newsletter using a Publisher template. At the top of each
page, the template automatically inserts the volume and issue number on one side and the page number on the other side. I want to have the volume and issue number at the left and the date at the right on the first page. On the inside pages, I want the page number, newsletter name, and date to be at the top of each page, with the publication name centered and the page number and date alternating positions (because the newsletter will be printed front and back). I've had no success trying to find the ways to get the template to do what I want it to do. Help in solving this mystery will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

You can manually move the text boxes or delete them and create new text boxes.
What have you tried that fails? -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "Mandy Banks" wrote in message ... Changing Publication Date and Pg. Nos.
Thanks for your response.
I've tried many approaches, but there seems to be a formula getting in my way that carries over the volume number and issue number from Page 1 to each subsequent page. I can't seem to unearth how to change the information I have at the top Page 1 (Vol. #, Issue #) from automatically carrying over to subsequent pages. If I could figure out how to keep that info from appearing on the following pages, maybe I can determine how to customize the heading so that each page after Page 1 includes the page number, publication name, and issue date. Many thanks for throwing me a lifeline. "Mary Sauer" wrote: You can manually move the text boxes or delete them and create new text boxes. Simply delete the text box, insert a new text box with your own information. As
for page numbers, delete that text box as well. Insert, page numbers, when you do this Publisher will automatically create page numbers on the Master Page, you can add text in front of the number and move the text box anywhere on the page. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "Mandy Banks" wrote in message ...
