Program is trying to access e-mail addresses
When merging to email, some of our users (Office XP SP-3)
receive a prompt that they must click "Yes" to, for every message sent (300+). The message is "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?" The mystery is that my updated Office XP SP-3 doesn't have the problem and I am supposedly configured like they are. Does "Confirm conversion on open" in Word's Tools, Options, General tab fix this problem? (This is checked on my computer, but not theirs.) Some users have successfully solved the problem by installing the Express Click Yes free-ware, but I would rather not install this on everyone's computer. Thanks ahead of time. |

Program is trying to access e-mail addresses
It would not be anything to do with the Confirm conversions at Open setting.
Almost certainly it is some setting in Outlook that is causing the prompt. If you can't work out what setting it is, I would suggest that you post to one of the Outlook newsgroups on msnews.microsoft.com. -- Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis. Hope this helps Doug Robbins - Word MVP "KRK" @notetown.edu wrote in message ...
