Print at two seperate locations
I have a work order application where I press a button on an entry form and
the a work order prints both locally and out in my shop. I am using a split db with the BE on the server and the FE on the local computers. I have been sucessful at printing both reports using two seperate work order reports each assigned to a different printer. This is ok for a single user or a couple users but I have to add the FE of this db to several users computer and the users ofter move from location to location. Everyone logs on to the network for privliges. I do not want to set-up a network printer on every computer as this is too much work and I do not have the time. What I was thinking was that I could put one report on the server and whenever anyone prints this report the BE could have a static printer assigned to that report to always print in the shop no matter who was signed on any computer using the FE. My thought is I could have another identical report that could print in the FE using the local printer. Am I dreaming or is something like this possible? If so, how? -- Thanks, Dennis |
