Contacts' FirstName/LastName confused
When viewing my Contacts as Address Cards, all appears to be fine. However,
when I change the view to By Category, the names show up backwards. In other words, Joe Smith is listed as "Smith Joe". Note that I'm not saying "Smith, Joe" ("Smith COMMA Joe"), as one would expect when filing names as LastName, FirstName, but "Smith Joe" as if Outlook were confusing the last and first names. Additionally, this backwardness is in the Full Name field and not the File As field. What's especially odd is that if I open a contact and click the "Full Name" button, Outlook lists first and last name correctly. Now, by itself, this wouldn't be such a big deal. The biggest problem with this is that if I've entered a contact's b'day or anniversary, it shows up in the calendar as "Smith Joe's Birthday". Anyone have any ideas how to fix? I've tried exporting to various formats and re-importing the contacts, but no luck so far. TIA BondG |

Specify the default setting you designated for your Full Name field.

Holy smokes! Until you asked and I went looking for it, I'd never seen
(noticed?) that setting. Seems odd that someone would want their contacts listed bassackwards, mais c'est la vie, n'est ce pas? I'm all fixed up now. Thanks much. It does seem odd, but Outlook wants odd people to feel included too.
