OLK Folder Problem...Please Help
My boss and I have been trying to figure this problem out for the past 2
weeks now and we cannot fix the problem. I hope that someone out there can give me a solution. Here it goes... At one point in time my boss could open a contact, attach a file to it such as an excel, publisher, or word document. He could edit the file attachment, then save it to the contact as if it came from the original folder where it was saved. For instance, he would attach a document from his (e) drive (external hardrive) to a specific contact and when he is ready to edit it, he would simply open the contact and double click on the file. When he is finished editing, he would save the document and the document would be saved onto the original folder in his (e) drive. Well, now when he is finished editing and goes to save the document, it no longer saves onto the original folder, it saves in the temporary internet folder called “OLK74” that is hidden. We are trying to find out how we can have it save back to the original folder like it did before. Obviously something was changed around and it no longer works. The problem with it saving to the OLK74 folder is that we then have two versions of the same document. The file that was already on the (e) drive and now a second version in the OLK74 folder. Please HELP! |

He should use the Save As menu item instead of Save. -- Brian Tillman |

Did you change versions? Attachments opened from email have always saved to
the OLK folder and updated that copy.. since I think 2002.
