Default "Select folder to export from" blank

I want to export contacts (or calendar) to excel (or csv etc). When I get to
"Select folder to export from" dialog the list is blank even though the are
two contacts "folders" one in use and another as an in case one under notes.

Also no folders visible in Tools Options mail setup data files.

Any ideas?

What shows in your folder list? Normally if nothing shows in the Data Files
section I'd think Outlook wouldn't even start

In the Mail View I get the mail folders. In the contacts view I get the two
contacts folders only. If I choose to export to a .pst file I see the lot at
the "Select folder to export from" stage.

Odd... did you install all the import/export filters? It's a long shot but
all I can think of at the moment

Yes, they were added as requested and the export function has worked in the
past. The only thing major I have done recently is to synchronise between
Outlook and my Nokia phone, but that may be nothing to do withit as it is
several months since I wanted to do the export so I don't know when it went
wrong.

how many folder sets are in the pst? Did you select the one you want to
export from before beginning the export (shouldn't be necessary, but might
as well try).

I have tried selecting the contact files wanted makes no difference.

I have one Personal Folder visible.

If I Go Folder View then the structure is all in view including the two
Contact folders.
The Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder has Outlook.NK2, Outlook.xml,
outcmd.dat,
Outlook.srs, Outlook.pst files together with a much larger archive.pst

Further to previous post I have partly solved issue by making a new pst file
and using the contact file from that as the new one which has bee seen and
exported.

The basic Personal Folder still exists with a separate contacts that cannot
be seen and exported but other than file size and tidiness I do not see any
real problem.

Pity it took so long to sort.

Yes both the old contacts and the new are enabled for Address book but it
seem to mke no difference to teh export. In properties the folders within the
original Personal Folders are visbile with sizes. However, the advanced tab
gives an error "An object cannot be Found".

I have tried the pst file repair tool, to no effect.

Thanks for your persistence.
