Contacts file location?
After my Windows XP crashed recently, I had to do a
parellel installation of XP. I had to reinstall all of my programs, but was able to access all of my old hard-drive files. However, after re-installing Outlook 2000, I lost all of my contacts information. Does anyone know where to look for the files that might contain my old contacts, so that I can import them into the re-installed Outlook? |

What is a "parallel installation?"
The file you need to look for is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored. Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup: http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] wrote in message ...
