Default I am having trouble importing an excel file into contacts in outlo

I cannot get all the information in an Excel file to import into the contacts
in Outlook, expecially the e-mails which have been created as hyperlinks in
the excel file. I am getting only the first row of information to import.

Did you use Insert | Name | Create to create a named range in the worksheet
covering all the data you want to import?

By doing this, I am able to import the whole file. However the e-mail field
is not importing as a e-mail hyperlink....I am only getting the first letter
of the e-mail address that appears in the column. All other numbers and
names are correct.

I did...however I am thinking that the format of those cells in Excel has
something to do with it only importing the first letter of the email address.
All other information is importing correctly

Originally as e-mail hyperlinks. Then I changed them to "General"....still
didn't work.

I sure can't duplicate the problem here, even with an address set up as a
hyperlink. How did you map the fields?

Try removing Hyperlinks. Select the column containing e-mails, then from Edit
menu select DeleteFormats.
Should work ... Then remember to cover with a name all the cells of what you
want to import.

Bye
