Default [Outlook 2007]Sorting the contacts by last name

Hi there,

I always find difficult to change the sorting/displaying of the contact from
first name (the default I guess) to last name. When I succeed in setting
that, I have the feeling that the displayed names of the contact are changed
only for the new added contacts.

Have you got a hint ?

Best regards

That's the way it works. Settings only apply to new Contacts. You'd have to
run code to change the fields for existing Contacts.

Should I consider exporting then reimporting my contacts ?

Thanks for your answer

I am having the same problem, with my existing (imported) contacts AND with
new ones. If you have cured this please do let me know.

State the problem you are having since it is not the same at all. Settings
will never apply to Contacts you import. They will apply to new ones you
create.
