How to display a very very large text in on Excel Cell
I need to show all of the text I put into one Excel Cell. The total
characters about 1500. I choose the Cell format and let it wrap the text. BUT my problem is The Excell Cell only show about 1100 Characters, the last 400 Characters did not show up, Even I adjust the heigth of the Excel Cell, I still can not see all of them. Some one/expert knows how to let Excel Cell show all my large text file? many Thanks! |

Hi Andy,
maximum is 1024 characters per cell. You can extend this by manually entering linebreaks with ALT+ENTER HTH -----Original Message----- I need to show all of the text I put into one Excel Cell. Hi!
No: you won't see more than 1k characters in a cell even though the cell will hold 32k characters. Think of ways of subdividing it, perhaps? Alf --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |

Thanks AlfD and mzehr
so the Excel will not show up a large text more than 1K. Do you know a way to do that in ONE Excel Cell? "AlfD " wrote: Hi! Read mzehr's response once more and try it out.
You may be surprised (and ALF, too!). Andy wrote: Thanks AlfD and mzehr so the Excel will not show up a large text more than 1K. Do you know a way to do that in ONE Excel Cell? "AlfD " wrote: Hi! Hi Dave!
You are so right. I haven't found the maximum but I have certainly viewed in excess of 1500 char in one cell using alt+enter. Thus perish our childhood fantasies! Thanks for that. Mind you, why has to be the next question, I think? Alf --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |

I don't know why.
but in minor testing with a small font and a wide column and a tall row, I could see 15k characters. (Then I got bored!) AlfD wrote in message ... Hi Dave! You are so right.
