Pivot Tables & data changes

Hi - I have never used pivot tables in Excel before so hopefully what I am
going to ask is possible and not too complicated for me.... )

I am working with Excel 2003. I have a pivot table already set up and the
information is pulling data from a row titled "sum of Subscriber". I added
new data in a new column from the main spreadsheet and I would like to pull
the data from there. Its titled "Adj Subscriber".

Is it possible to switch it? If so, how?

Hi:

If you add data into the source data of the pivot.

Right click on the pivot table and say refresh.

If you added an extra column or row you need to ensure that that data is
covered in the selection.

Do this by right clicking over the pivot table and select PivotTable Wizard
and then click the back button on the dialog and change the selection to
include the new row.

Then select 'Finish'.

Voila!

Hi Anna

You should not select static ranges as the source for your Pivot Table.
It is better to use a Dynamic Range that will grow as more data is added to
the source.
As you use XL2003, this is very easy.
Place your cursor anywhere in your source tableDataListCreate ListOK
Whilst the list is selected, in the Name box (left of A and above row 1)
type myData and hit Enter.
Right click on your PTPT WizardBackSource =myData

You will not need to ever alter your source range again as it will
automatically adjust to include more rows and / or columns.
