Outlook Folders Missing After Upgrade to Windows XP

I recently upgraded Windows from Windows 98 to Windows
XP. After the upgrade, I get an error message "Unable to
Display the Folder. Folder does not exist." when
selecting the following folders in Outlook 2000: Inbox,
Calender, Contacts, Tasks, and Notes. I removed and
reinstalled Outlook 2000, and performed all the updates
from the Microsoft site--but still get the message that
the folders do not exist. I have also re-sync'ed my info
from my PDA to my computer, and the files still do not
exist. Can anyone suggest a solution? Is Outlook 2000
compatible with Windows XP?

That just means that the OS upgrade moved your Outlook data file to a new
location and now Outlook can't find it.
Search for *.pst. Open each in Outlook until you find the correct file, then
configure Outlook to use it. Make sure you enable the search to include
hidden files.

Did you get this to work? I have a similar problem but
how do you point Outlook to the correct file location
when you can't run Outlook?

If you know where your PST is, you can add it to the mail profile through the
Mail Applet in the Control Panel -- click Data Files, then ADD it. Once you
do that you can go to the Email Accounts dialog and set your old PST as the
default delivery location.
