Default Outlook 2003 forwarding external mail through exchange.

Hi,

I'm running windows 2003 server and exchange 2003.
I have a pc that i run windows xp pro on with outlook 2003.

My issue is this, I have setup two account in outlook, a pop3 account and an
Exchange account.
I can recieve email ok, however when I gat an external message from my pop
account my default (exchange account ) is not the account the messages are
being sent through, so I get an error.
how can I change this so that the accounts default to use microsoft exchange?

Thanks

goto into outlook and click tools - Email accounts.
select view or change email accounts.
highlight your exchange account and select the "set as default" option.
This will default your sending through Exchange
