Default MS Office Picture Manager 2003 - Won't resize images. (v.2)

Hi,
Anyone had this pb ?
MS Office Picture Manager 2003 - Won't resize images.
(Won't pivot or raotae images either.)

Image is selected.
Toolbar, Modify image, Resize, ....
Whether I use the predifined, personalised, or percentage options the result
is the same :
The programme displays the
Original dimensions Ex : 800 x 600
and New dimensions 400 x 300

Then I click the OK button and the programme displays
Original dimensions Ex : 800 x 600
and the New dimensions ( same as the Original dimensions ) 800 x 600

The image does not show the *
So I suppose it has not been modified.
If I do save it with a new name, the new file is the same as the original.
Very irritating.
-----------

Details, An ornery ole jpg, bmp, png on the desktop,
User has Full Control of the file,
Image File is not read only
Image file can be resize using the stretch and incline features in MS Paint.

Any ideas ?
TIA
Norbert Lambert

Seeing the same thing on a client's computer. Still in early stages of
rolling out Office 2003 at this site; will be checking other machines for
this behavior tomorrow. It's not happening on any of my machines.

Don't know if it matters, but the machine with this problem runs Windows
2000 SP4, and Office 2003 was upgraded over Office 2000 SP1.

OT: You're not the Norbert Lambert who is friends with John Kirksey in
Houston, are you?

No. My Norbert Lambert doesn't really exist !
I dreamt it up on the spur of the moment during an anonymity crisis.
I imagined that it was highly improbable that any parents called Lambert
would name their child Norbert. A bit like Adam Adams or Jake Blake ...

No more for now,
Boris Norris
