how do I uninstall microsoft office outlook connect?
The executable file ccSvcHst.exe is taking up tons of memory. I read on the
Symantec Web site that it is a known problem between the Norton Add-On software and the Outlook Connect software, but they don't have a fix for it now. It said that a temporary fix is to uninstall one of the software programs. I don't think I need the Outlook Connect software. It is specifically used to connect Outlook to your hotmail account and I have mine connected to my Exchange account. I can't find it listed in the Add or Remove Programs window, though. Any ideas? |

how do I uninstall microsoft office outlook connect?
The best idea would be to uninstall Norton, run their debris cleanup utility
to remove all the crud the uninstaller leaves behind, then do a custom re-install WITHOUT any email scanner features/modules/components. Norton's email scanner is one of the most problematic pieces of software available anywhere, it is entirely redundant and supplies NO additional protection whatsoever, and your system is FULLY protected against email threats without it, provided you keep the resident file system scanner up to date. Email scanners produce more email client problems than all other causes combined. http://service1.symantec.com/Support...05033108162039 Download and run the Norton Removal Tool http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...= bar_sch_nam Frequently asked questions about Norton AntiVirus Email Scanning Q - Is my computer still protected against viruses if I disable Email Scanning? A- Disabling Email Scanning does not leave you unprotected against viruses that are distributed as email attachments. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans incoming files as they are saved to your hard drive, including email and email attachments. Email Scanning is just another layer on top of this. To make sure that Auto-Protect is providing the maximum protection, keep Auto-Protect enabled and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions.
