Custom Page Sizes
I'm convinced that the margin errors that Word 2000 kicks up when I try
to print to a custom page size are the result of the way in which the HP LaserJet 5 printer driver is written. Is there a laser printer that has a well-written driver that supports a wide variety of custom page sizes? |

I've used an HP LaserJet 5P for several years both at home and at work and
have printed to a variety of custom page sizes on several different versions of Word and Windows OS's quite successfully. It's my favorite printer. Have you visited the HP site for an updated driver for your OS? Or are you doing something truly exotic? Tim "mcp6453" wrote in message ... The driver is the latest that HP has to offer, as best as I can tell. (There seems to be an ongoing debate between Windows and HP about which driver to use. I have tried several. At least one does not work at all.) I get the page size warning if I deviate from the predefined page sizes available in page setup. I tried modifying a predefined page, but that doesn't work, either. Since the printer is an old one by today's standards, my guess is that no further driver development is being done. By the way, I have the same problem with my HP 5150. |

Did you look at HP's beta driver site?
http://www.hp.com/pond/ljbeta/ there are margin fix drivers for *some* printers there. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org mcp6453 wrote: Tim Cole wrote: I've used an HP LaserJet 5P for several years both at home and at work and have printed to a variety of custom page sizes on several different versions of Word and Windows OS's quite successfully.
