Default Server room rack diagram

Hello I am on Visio 2007 SP2 and I created a rack mounted "rack" and I moved
a physical server and I want to update the server that I had on say the 2n'd
U of the 42U rack mounted server rack I have. When I do so, I can move it by
selecting it, it highlights in green, with a green square on teh top and a
green dashed line around the 2U server I have. I see the bottom two red
squares that have "locked" it into the rack. Very nice! I like that it
"snaps" into place.
I select it, move it OUT of the rack. Now it's all green, the bottom two
squares that were red are now green. I now select it and drag it to the
BOTTOM of the rack. Hmm NOT working!
The top middle green square is still there, the green dashes are still
around the 2U rack server. BUT the two green squares that "should" be red
and "lock" or "snap" into place on the server are green and "there" when the
image is to the LEFT of the server rack. It doesn't matter what share I
move, a 2U or 1U, etc.
If I click on the 2U server now and TRY to move it, by dragging it with my
mouse, up or down, it will NOT move. It has "mysteriously" 'locked' into
place. I don't know what has happened as I only want to MOVE the server and
I don't know why it's "frozen" and it won't let me put it in another position.

I am on a Microsoft Windows Vista Business x64 SP2 system.
I am using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and I have the file
checked out but it is now in "read-only" but that should NOT be the problem.
I am not trying to save it, but "work" with the file and the data in it.
I saved the file to my desktop, renaming it. I closed out of Microsoft
Visio 2007 SP2 and opened the file again and it is the same thing, I click on
a "server" and try to move it and it is "stuck".

I'm confused. You checked out a sharepoint drawing as read-only and are
running into problems attempting to edit the read-only file, and you believe
there is a problem. The second thing that confuses me is that you believe
there is a difference between shapes that take up 1U and 2U and what there
behavior might be.

" I now select it and drag it to the BOTTOM of the rack. Hmm NOT working!"
hint: Toolbar=view=connection points, ensure that it is checked. This
will show you where you are attempting to mount the server in the rack. I
usually zoom in so that I can see if it is properly mounted.

I'd start by making sure the drawing has been checked back into sharepoint
and then start over again.

You might also check that the shape has not been protected somehow. Right
click on the object and select Format - Protection. See if there are any
check marks; if so, then clear them and try again. As the document is
read-only, you might have to save it locally, or check it out as Al
suggested.
