Very slow Publisher 2007
My Publisher 2007 has sudeenly become very slow and keeps coming up 'Not
reponding'. I have scanned my system for any virus etc but it shows clear. In addition, all other software including Word 2007, Excel etc all work fine. My emails and browser also work at normal speed. Should I uninstall the full suite and then re-install. The Office 2007 suite was per-loaded by Dell in December 2007. |

Go to the manufacturer's web site of your graphics/video card and look around
for an updated driver. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "Adjuster" wrote in message ... My Publisher 2007 has sudeenly become very slow and keeps coming up 'Not reponding'. Very slow Publisher 2007
Thank you for the courtesy of responding to my enquiry and apologise for
mistakenly referring to 2007 instead of 2003. I have done as you suggested but this has not produced any improvement. I have checked on the document that I am working upon and last year using the same computer I produced a Newsletter of 40 pages that was 46MB in size. Now I have used the same system and layout and the number of MB up to page 18 is 242MB with no change in the type of content. Are you able to advise a course of action? Very slow Publisher 2007
Again, many thanks for your response. I have tried various methods without success. However, I have discovered that when I add a page to an existing file in Publisher, a ghost text box appears outside the page and is only dicoverable by placing the cursor over the 'invisible' text box. I have a suspicion that something is adding data and thus hugely increasing the size of my files. Any suggestions would be welcomed. "Mary Sauer" wrote: Run the Design Checker. Have you run a virus check lately?
Are there objects on the Master Page? I know of nothing that will add data to a Publisher file arbitrarily. Do you have an add-in? Look at Tools, Add-ins. If there are add-ins, disable them. Acrobat can be troublesome in Publisher 2003. If the publication started out as a 2000 document, it could be larger than expected. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "Adjuster" wrote in message ... Again, many thanks for your response.
