Default Why can't all the parts of Office play together?

Is there some reason that Outlook can't be a "dashboard" for dealing with my
contacts?

Why can't I click an action button and use a template to create a new
document, or spreadsheet (which I do every day!) and attach the finished
product (in a working format in the case of spreadsheets) to the contact, for
easy access? Maybe I could even attach my scanned documents and photos
directly to the contact. It could all be linked to a folder elsewhere in
office. I don't care. I just don't want to open three applications to deal
with one contact.

Sort of like Binder. Oh, no. Binder bad. Binder go bye bye.
