Default Radio Field always assigns area code (Causes error with Synching to Blackberry)

I am trying to use the radio field to store a blackberry
PIN, which is just an 8 letter alpha-numeric string. But
this often results in Outlook automatically adding an area
code and a country code infront of the PIN.

This causes a problem when I try to synch from Outlook to
the blackberry, because the PIN should just be the 8
digits.

Is there a way to store the PIN into the radio field
without Outlook forcing an area code onto it? Any other
suggestions as to what I could do?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Use a different field. Any field that expects a phone number will be masked
automatically.
