why is the outlook address book limited to 1000 names
I am trying to add contacts to Outlook Express but I am told that I cannot
have over 1,000 contacts. How do I resolve this? How do I enlarge the capacity? |

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports. Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups. You can also find some good Outlook Express information he http://www.insideoutlookexpress.com/ -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. After furious head scratching, Jeff from Coulter Press asked: | I am trying to add contacts to Outlook Express but I am told that I | cannot have over 1,000 contacts. How do I resolve this? Outlook has no such limitations. You posted to the wrong group. This
newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007 from the Office family for Intel PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting in this newsgroup: news://msnews.microsoft.com.microsof...outlookexpress If this group isn't carried on the news server that's carrying this group try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found he http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/ -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jeff from Coulter Press" Jeff from Coulter wrote in message ... Along with what the others said, if you really do mean Outlook, are you
using the Outlook connector with a hotmail live acct? It's a limitation of the server and you can't change it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Jeff from Coulter Press" Jeff from Coulter wrote in message ... Diane,
I am having te same issue with regards to Outlook 2007 not allowing me to add more than 1,000 contacts. I am using Outlook Connector to sync a Hotmail account with Outlook 2007. I subscribe to MSN Premium Services so that both Calendar an Contacts from Windows Live syncs with Outlook 2007. Do I understand you correctly to say that even with the MSN Premium subscription I won't be able to get around the 1,000 contact limit? Dave:
I am having a problem importing my contacts from Outlook Express to Outlook 2007. It seems to stop part way through. I have also found that Outlook 2007 has really slowed down since i tried to import. Is it the limitaton of the hotmail server? Any solutions to get around this? or is there a way to manage the contacts differently?
