"The Parameter is incorrect" error message
Did not quite know where to post this...
One of my users is getting a "The Parameter is incorrect" error message upon opening his database. This is double-clicking on the MDB file. He claims if he opens Access and chooses the MDB that way, it opens ok. I've played with it and cannot reproduce the problem. There is no code in the database that puts out the message. The database is an unsplit MDB and is used by multiple people simultaneously. Could this be the cause? Any ideas? |

"The Parameter is incorrect" error message
Sounds like the actual "Open With" options are incorrect - do other people
have the same error message, or just this one person? Also, it's a very very VERY bad idea to have a single unsplit database shared by multiple users simultaneously... That is a recipe for disaster. "The Parameter is incorrect" error message
It turns out the message was issued before Access opened the database. I did
not design the database and have no control overits setup or design. I simply provide Access support to the users.
