Retaining Custom Automations and Transitions when changing picture
I was wondering if anyone knew if it's possible to keep Custom Automations
and the assigned Transition values from an existing previously saved Power Point Presentation, while changing the photographs that the Automations were assigned to. I simply want to change photos, and keep the presentation format exactly the same. I'm using Small Business 2003. |

Retaining Custom Automations and Transitions when changing picture
First, save the ppt as a webpage.
To do so, click File Save as. Under save as type, select webpage. You might want to have the filename as "Test". Click Save. Open the output folder. Now, you will need to rename all the new photos. Make sure the filename of the new photos follow the existing filenames in the output folder. For example, if you want to change an existing photo to abc.jpg, you will need to rename abc.jpg to slide0001_image001.jpg Next, replace the existing files with the new files. Open the Test.htm with PowerPoint. (In PowerPoint, click File Open. Look for the Test.htm). The custom animation (I believe you are referring to animation, not automation) and transition should retain. Finally, save it back to .ppt. -- Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP PowerPoint) Site Updated: April 13, 2006 Added new portfolio http://pptheaven.mvps.org PowerPoint Heaven - The Power to Animate "Bonnie St.Pierre" wrote: I was wondering if anyone knew if it's possible to keep Custom Automations and the assigned Transition values from an existing previously saved Power Point Presentation, while changing the photographs that the Automations were assigned to.
