How do I set up Word to read Works files?
A client has sent me a .wps file created in Works. When I try to load the
file, I get messages that various converters can't be loaded. I have installed Office XP SB (both disks) and have run detect & repair. The icon for the file recognizes that it is a Word-compatible file but it will not load. Any help would be appreciated. |

Do you know what version of Works was used to create the file you received?
Although all Works word processing files have a .wps extension, they actually have different formats depending on the Works version. Office XP includes a Works 7.0 .wps converter on the CD. You can download the Works 6.0 converter from http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318244. "sdico" wrote: A client has sent me a .wps file created in Works.
