Default Access XP Run-time error -2147024769 (8007007F)

I just did the windows XP updates, including "Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components (KB832483)". Following the updates, opening any Access XP database with the line "Set con = Application.CurrentProject.Connection" results in a run-time error. Horible since it means none of the switchboards in any of my databases work. I expect the problem to be related to the security patch. Unfortunately, I cannot readily remove the patch as I get the message from the windows installer that components must be removed manually. Therefore, I have downloaded the component checker and the MDAC SP2.7 SP1 refresh. Numerous mismatches found. I'll let you know if I have any luck with the MDAC refresh.

Ok, I downloaded and installed MDAC V2.8 which fixed the problem. Hope this helps anyone else that encounters this problem!
