Default 'client safety options do not allow pass-through' errors

Have a multisheet Excel book that has many macros that refresh pivot tables
built from OLAP Cubes. The pivot tables actually refresh the OLAP Cubes. I
have started getting 'client safety options do not allow pass-through'
statement is issued and the pivot table cannot be refreshed.

I can use MS Query to refresh the Cube, but there are hundreds of these
cubes in this application & Excel offers the quickest way to solve this
problem.

Any suggestions?

Probably best to ask questions about Excel in a public.excel group, but
here you a

HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Office/11/Excel/Options/OLAPUDFSecurity = 1
HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Office/10/Excel/Options/OLAPUDFSecurity = 1

If there are HKLM values, they problem override the current user setting.
