Combo box, form, Sub-form interaction
Hi
I have a form “Fob File” with a combo box for client, bound column client id and client name displayed. In the Job File Form is a sub-form client, this is essential a data entry screen for the client table. In the circumstances were the client already exists I want the user to be able to select them from the combo box on the Job File form and the information regarding the client be displayed on the Client Sub form and when the combo box is not displaying any data i.e. it is a new client the client sub-form should default to a new record so that the user can simply enter the client information on that form with having to exit and enter via another form. Currently I have the combo box working and the sub-form working so that they can enter new data or scroll through previous/existing clients. However I can not get them to interact. If any one could hep I would really appreciate it THanks -- Message posted via http://www.accessmonster.com |

Combo box, form, Sub-form interaction
What do you mean by "interact"? Do you have the Link Master/Child properties
of the subform set? If so, what are their values? -- Duane Hookom MS Access MVP "Chris W via AccessMonster.com" u12677@uwe wrote in message news:568050a2197e5@uwe... Combo box, form, Sub-form interaction
Hi Duane thanks for your reply
Sorry about the late reply I have had a few days off from work. By interact I mean that I want the client sub-form to react when the client is chosen in the combo box. And when the client combo box is blank the sub- form should allow the entry of a new client, when a client is chosen on the client combo box the client sub-form should display the chosen client’s details.
