Default Combo boxes

I would like to set up a table where items in a combo box appear based off of
a selection from another combo box.
Any advise?

Mixing terms!

What has a table got to do with combo boxes?

I can see them with forms and queries.

Amy

I may be reading too much into your description, but it sounds like you are
trying to do this in a table. If so, DON'T! Don't use the "lookup" data
type in your tables (see the tablesdbdesign newsgroup for examples of why
not... and check the mvps.org/access web site for more reasons not to).

Access tables store data, Access forms display it. Use "cascading combo
boxes" (see the mvps.org/access web site for more) in a form.

And for the record, I don't believe it is possible to do that (base one
combo box on another in a table).

Default Combo boxes

The closest synchronize of two combo boxes is the ability to make a selection
in the first combo box that limits the list of available items in the second
combo box. If this is what you want then download the sample forms from the
Microsoft web site if you have not already done so previously.

Good Luck!
