How to show a negative number on the table
I have a clolumn that I want to show a negative number, but Access
shows 0.00%. Here is the equation that I'm working from. Unit Price Change = (Proposed Price - Current Price)/Current Price So Example would be: Unit Price Change = (378.62 - 382.44)/382.44 This should give us a -1%, But Access is showing 0.00% May I please get some help on this matter. Thank you. |

How to show a negative number on the table
First issue ... it is rarely necessary to store a calculated value in a
table. ... and there are some very good reasons NOT to. If you need a calculated value (e.g., [percentage change], calculate it in a query. Second point ... there's a good chance the underlying data field has been defined as an integer, but formatted to display percentage to two decimal places. Integers have no decimal places, no matter how many you show. Regards Jeff Boyce Microsoft Office/Access MVP "AccessDB" wrote in message oups.com...
