Default Combo box?

Hi
I am triying to creat a field with 4 options Eng, Ind, Com and Con which is
called sectors.
I thought a Combo box was the answer but for some reason it will not hold
the value selected in the form after saving and closing. So I tried List box
but that does the same thing.
I know it can be done some how as I have done it but I can't remember what I
am missing. I seem to remember creating it manually in properies either in
form design or table design but like I said I can't remember exactly.
I can't use a table as this has to be used in more than one form and it
tells me I am duplicating values. Just in case you are thinking I could be
duplicating information one is about a persons job and the other is about the
company they are working for -= person can be working in an Com position
within a Eng company.

Hope this makes sence and you can help.
thanks

Default Combo box?

Lisa here again - ignore this post as I have fixed the problem. Set the
Control source in the form properties to store the value in the table. Sorry
for being thick
thanks
