Hi Christina,
Turn the wizard off by clicking on the button with magic wand (slanted stick with stars falling from its tip) in the Toolbox tool bar (Access 2003 and earlier) or Design ribbon, Controls section (Access 2007). And if you are like me and can't be bothered with turning the wizard on and
off - if the wizard is on when you click to create a new command button, wait till the wizard opens its first dialog and simply press the escape button on the keyboard. The wizard dialog will disappear and you will have a regular command button without any wizard code. Jeanette Cunningham MS Access MVP -- Melbourne Victoria Australia "Christina" wrote in message ...
