Default Dates parameters/logic

Not sure how to ask this and I am very much a beginner in
EXCEL.
I am trying to find a way to track periodic reviews that
are required every time an individual changes bosses
(supervisors), and when a mid-term report is done and if
its done in a timely manner.
This is what I am trying to do using this data:
Supervision Date
1 Jan 03(known dates)
Initial Report Due (due within 60 days)
1 Mar 03
Mid-term Report Due (half way between supervision date
30 Jun 03 and annual report date)
Annual Report Date (known date)
31Dec 03
I can auto calulate when the initial and mid-term reports
are due by using a simple formula. However, what I would
like to do is figure out is how to identify if a report
was done by tracking and calulate how many were done 1.
on time and 2. if they were done late, and 3. have
capability of sorting by any specific period of time. I
would like to send a sample spreadsheet to see if anyone
out there could assist me in this endeavor.
many thanks
BILL
