Default vlookup

I have two Workbooks. They both have the common
reference numbers for various products. Workbook A lists
the weights of products in rows adjacent to the reference
number. I want to enter the weights from selected cells
in workbook A into selected cells in workbook B using the
reference number as the common factor on both.

If this is just a one-time thing, then you could just copy the sheet from
one workbook to the other and then use the VLOOKUP function, and then copy
paste special values, and then delete the imported sheet........if you are
wanting the results in one workbook to track the varying data in another,
then you would need to "link" them......
