I'm trying to send a 2007 powerpoint presentation to a MAC laptop. For some
reason it arrives as multiple files, PPTX files. The Mac guy says this is
insane, it should come embedded as one presentation. Can I save it in any
other format that he can use? Should the extension be pptx?

Hey V.J.

The new native file format for 2007 is PPTX, which is essentially a zipped
file folder of multiple files, this is the correct save format for your
version of PowerPoint. However, I do not think the Mac versions of
PowerPoint are able to read this new format yet. So, you will need to
down-save it to the PPT file format that was used by 2003 which is able to
be opened by Mac users. Under the "Save as" functions look for "PowerPoint
97 -2003 Presentation" type. This file format should be able to opened by
the Mac user, but may not be as editable as it is for you in the 2007
version of PowerPoint.
