Clarify your post, realizing that this group has nothing to do with Outlook
Express. What did you update? Those version make no sense. What did you lose? What are you actually trying to accomplish now? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "kwyle" wrote in message news I had all of my addresses in outlook express, but when I'm updated from 2001 to 2002 (with a cd that came with my ppc phone) my addresses were removed. |

How do I transfer my contacts from outlook to outlook express
I don't have the old cd that I got outlook from originally, but I do have
Outlook 2002. I would like to have the contact information that is on there, transferred to my outlook express. I did have it on both, but since my update, it isn't on there anymore. Hopefully this is enough information for assitance. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: No such thing as Outlook 2001. Try again please. How do I transfer my contacts from outlook to outlook express
Outlook 2000 existed as 2 completely different versions, so we're still not
close enough. I will guess that you were using Internet Mail Only, a temporary version of Outlook that actually used Outlook Express instead of Outlook for its address book. So now you've lost your OE address book. Just export your Contacts to a format OE can import, like CSV. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "kwyle" wrote in message ... You can also use a reg hack to force OE to continue to use your Outlook
Contacts like it did in IMO mode. It will not work with the current version of Outlook, but should still work the older version you have. http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/oeshare.htm Note, that for later versions you may have to hack a different key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4 -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "kwyle" wrote in message ...
