repeating information on different slides
I write a quiz, and after 10 questions (slides 1-10) I review each question
followed by a slide for the answer. (slide 11 = review question, slide 12 = answer). ATM I am manually copying each question onto the review slide before the answer - is there a way to program PPT so that whatever I type in slide 1 will appear in slide 11? As I do about 200 questions a week this would save me so much time! By the way - each question can be a mix of text, pics, movie clip or sound... Many thanks |

This could be done with some VBA, but it might be easier to do it with
Custom Shows. You would need links to the shows instead of just advancing to each slide, but that would not be hard. I can picture a presentation with 21 slides. The first slide is a menu. Sldes 2-11 are qeustions, and slides 12-21 are answers. The menu has two buttons: quiz and review. The quiz button links to a custom show that includes slides 2-11 (be sure to check show and return when setting up the link to the show). The second button links to a review show, which includes slides 2-21; however, they don't have to be in that order in the show. --David -- David M. If you must have multiple slides, why don't you go into slide sorter view
after you've created the question slides and copy the question slides (1-10) and paste them as slides 11-20. You can then just type in the answers on the appropriate slides 11-20. Alternatively, you could use only one slide for each question and answer - create a slide with the Question text box separate from the Answer text box. Set custom animation for the Answer text box to only appear when you click the title (right click on the animation and choose effect options, set the trigger on the timing tab to Start on Click of Question Text), Unfortunately, you can't create a Master slide with this feature, it does not allow as much animation customization, but you can easily copy one slide with the proper formatting each time you create a new presentation. When you present the quiz, you can go through the slides once without showing the answers and then go through them again, click on the Question text and the Answer text will appear. Saves a lot of typing!!! "DBrooker" wrote: I write a quiz, and after 10 questions (slides 1-10) I review each question followed by a slide for the answer.
