Default Shortcut Bar

Where do I find the Office Shortcut Toolbar for WindowsXP?

I possess Office 2000, OfficeXP, and Office 2003. What file name would it
be on 2000 or XP.

Also, I enjoy have the "Professor" as my Office Assistant. What file name
would it be located in in Office 2000.

Thank you in advance for any insight.

Ernie

Please bear with me as this post is very long, but has lots of information.

The Office Shortcut Bar is a part of Microsoft Office 2000 and Microsoft Office XP (2002).

To install the in Microsoft Office 2000, follow the instructions in the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article
titled "How to install or repair individual features of Office 2000".
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/264625/

To install the in Microsoft Office XP (2002), follow the instructions in the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article
titled "How to add or remove a single Office XP program or component".
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290527/

The Office Shortcut Bar is NOT included in Microsoft Office 2003 Editions, however, there is an alternative
way to achieve something very similar in Microsoft Windows.

What?? No Office Shortcut Bar for Office 2003??

The Office Assistant that you call "Professor" is really called "Genius" and is NOT compatible with Microsoft
Office XP (2002) or Microsoft Office 2003.

To add the Genius Office Assistant in Microsoft Office 2000, follow the instructions in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base Article titled "How to modify or remove Office Assistant Help in Office 2000".
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/203689/

Many users have suggested to look at this site for Microsoft Office Assistants:
http://www.msagentring.org/chars.htm

Installation instructions are provided on the site and require Microsoft Office 97, Microsoft Office 2000,
Microsoft Office XP (2002), or Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Agent 2.0 installed. Computers with later
versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system (i.e. Windows 2000 and Windows XP) already have Microsoft
Agent 2.0 pre-installed.

Download Microsoft Agent 2.0

Also keep in mind that if you are running multiple versions of Office on one computer, you will need to
install them in a specific order. You should also note that there are conflicts when running multiple versions
of Microsoft Outlook on one computer. All of this information (and more) can be found in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base Articles that I have linked to below.

Hi, Tim:

Thank you for your intelligent reply AND especially the time it must have
taken you to gather the information/links in response to my query. This
weekend, after I navigate the sites and install "the genius", I shall
archive this for future reference when, as the months/years progress, and
more of my brain material degenerates, I shall have recourse to your
outstanding missive. )

I do truly appreciate your efforts on my behalf.

I wish you and your family well. And, again, "Thank You".

Ernie
