Default subform creating itself as unbound

I am trying to create a subform on a master form, in the past when using the
subform from the toobox I am prompted to use the wizard for creating a bound
subform. No it is just creating an unbound white background, I have changed
the object source of the unbound subform to the query it is based on but it
is still giving the white backgorund and not letting me add my own textboxes
for calculated fields.

Did you make sure the Wizard button was depressed before you tried to add
the subform control?

Otherwise, what is the record source for your subform? Is it a multi-join
query?
