Default Lighthouse Intercessors Prayer Servants, Meeting Wed. Oct 29th at 7:00pm at Mary's house

Oct. 28th, 2008

Dear PrayingFamily:

We will be praying for any requests that are sent in by E- Mail, or you
may call Mary at: 230-6448. Mary's door still needs fixed, and I bought
the item needed to keep it from flying open. I will try to get my
son-in-law to find his brother to go over there and do this, and I will pay
him. It should not be that hard to do. Mary still wants to go back to
her other home on Glenwood, but they have not given her any answers about
that yet. Please pray for her to get to go home. That house had a roof
leak, and it was fixed, but there was other problems that have caused
damage. I cannot get any answers from Mary, as she cannot get any answers
from her children about it. Pray that Mary can live in the house that she
wants to live in.

For those who did not attend Mass or Church on Sunday, Oct 26, 2008, here
are my notes:

Fr. Emilio Sosa presided:

Entrance Song: "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God"

Scriptures read: Ex. 22:20-26; Ps 18:2-4, 47, 51; I. Thes. 1:5-10;
Matt 22:34-40

Remember last week question? Have we given to Caesar what rightfully
belongs to God?
In the Old Testament there are approximately:
635 commandments
300 prohibitions
250 laws

The Pharisees, for this reason, asked Jesus which is the greatest?

Jesus responded "Love" vs 37-40: He said to him, "You shall love the
Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your
mind. This is the grestest and the first commandment. The second is like
it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. the whole law and the
prophets depend on these two commandments."

Imagine all of these laws, and we today just need to remember the 10
Commandments.

What is the 4th Commandment, does anyone know it?
(Someone in the church states: "Honor your father and mother". )
If you say bad words to your parents, this would be breaking this
commandment. Most of us have broken some commandments.

You could be the worst person in the world and there would still be one
thing that cannot give up on us. That is the grace of God through Jesus
Christ.
Some people are 80 years old when they receive this grace of God. God
wants everyone to be saved, No matter what is happening in our lives.
God wants everyone to be saved. Maybe we failed in all the commandments,
but we are still welcome to come to receive this grace of God.

I want to repeat some of those questions. Is everything that I have a gift
from God? Is God the first one in my live? Does God play an important
role in our lives. Is He the first one.
Let us obey the commandments. Let us love God; let us love Jesus; let us
love Mary, His mother, and let us love one another.

Song:

"They'll Know We Are Christians"

Vs 1: "We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord
We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord
And we pray that all unity may one day be restored."

Chorus: "And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love,
Yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love."

Vs 2 : "We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand.
we will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand,
And together we'll spread the news that God is in our land."

Closing Song:
"Though the Mountains may Fall"

"Though the mountains may fall and the hills turn to dust,
Yet the love of the Lord will stand, As a sheltar for all who will call on
His name.
Sing Praise and the glory of God."
