White avi's on playback.
I recently upgraded from Win2000 to XP and only 1/2 of my avi's and divx
files play back properly in PowerPoint. The initial frame shows correctly, but when the movie plays the avi frame turns white. Any ideas? |

RM
the initial frame is something powerpoint does when you first insert the video clip. So it's no indication that powerpoint will actually play the file when it's time to play it. The "white" box in place of the video clips is normally an indication that the path / folder length to the video clip is tooooo long. e.g c:\my documents\usernames\this\that\theother\andtherest\ thebad\thegood\presentations\videoclips So move the video clip to c:\videos\ then in powerpoint insert movies from file If that don't fix it... start here... http://www.echosvoice.com/tshoot_video2.htm Cheers TAJ Simmons microsoft powerpoint mvp awesome - powerpoint backgrounds, free powerpoint templates, tutorials, hints and tips etc http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com "RM in OC" RM in wrote in message ...
