Can't edit in PPT2003_embedded font
Just installed Windows XP and got upgraded to PPT 2003
when I open a prior PPT presentation, it says this presentation cannot be edited because it contains an embedded font. If I go to another computer with Win2000 and Office XP or Office 2003, no problem editing. How can I edit in my new computer?? |

Can't edit in PPT2003_embedded font
This is the most irritating issue, isn't it? Basically, you have to open the file in a previous version of PPT and save it without the embedded font.

Open it there, choose Format, Replace Fonts and replace the embedded font with a different font, one that you have on your new computer. Save the presentation and you're good to go. OR If you have the legal right to do so, install a copy of the needed embedded font on your new computer. -- Steve Rindsberg, PPT MVP PPT FAQ: www.pptfaq.com PPTools: www.pptools.com ================================================ Featured Presenter, PowerPoint Live 2004 October 10-13, San Diego, CA www.PowerPointLive.com ================================================ |
