Default Product activation system temporarily offline for trial Publisher

I am trying to activate my trial version of Microsoft Publisher 2007. I
continually receive the message that the product activation system is
temporarily offline for maintenance and to try again in a few minutes. Any
suggestions?

Other than the obvious response - wait for a while and try again?

wow was it really worth it to spell that out. the activation process has been
tried NUMEROUS times. All day in fact. Sowe were just wondering if anyone
knew of a timeline on the maintenance being done for the activation system.

It might be your Internet Explorer cache is full. Many times this will be the
cause of your not being able to connect with web sites that need space to
activate.
In Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Delete button, Delete files.

We are not Microsoft employees so we aren't privy to the inner workings.
Unfortunately sometimes those computers go down and there's nothing we can
do about that. Hang tight and remember that those computers are probably
located in the US where Sundays are not usually a regular business day.
