Default Seeing Activities in Public Contacts folder

We have a bunch of contacts that we want to share. We've created
Public folders and copied the contacts into those folders.

Now we can see each other's contacts, but we can't get in the
Activities tab and see anything.

We know we can copy them and take ownership and all that, but what we
really need to do is see updates info for each contact.

Help. Please.

You'd have to create a separate public folder with all the items you want to
track. See http://www.slipstick.com/journal/pubjournal.htm for a discussion
of this issue and possible solutions.
