Default outlook express (getting started)

I am trying to get outlook express started .I went to
tools--accounts--add--put my name in and my email address (live.com with
msn) and when i put pop3 as the host for incoming mail and smtp for outgoing
mail. a box appeared stating "the host pop3 is not available" so i put in
imap for the incoming mail and smtp for outgoing mail and it said "the host
imap could not be found". So I am doing something and need assistance on what
I doing wrong.
