We may not share the same definition of "a user-friendly archive database
for office files". What do you mean by it? We all have other jobs; none of us work for Microsoft. Your request is unreasonable. It sounds like you want someone to design and implement an archive database for you. This project will require some extensive interviews and discussion to identify what kind of files, how the archive will be used, how the users will want to search it, what user interface choices you want; discussion of your hardware and network; and only then would the design of the database even START. You're talking about many hours of work. You can do the work yourself if you're willing to invest some time and effort in learning about Access; here are some resources: Jeff Conrad's resources page: http://www.accessmvp.com/JConrad/acc...resources.html The Access Web resources page: http://www.mvps.org/access/resources/index.html Roger Carlson's tutorials, samples and tips: http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/ A free tutorial written by Crystal: http://allenbrowne.com/casu-22.html A video how-to series by Crystal: http://www.YouTube.com/user/LearnAccessByCrystal MVP Allen Browne's tutorials: http://allenbrowne.com/links.html#Tutorials Or you can hire it done; if you decide to do so get some background (prehaps a Google search) on the person offering, and be sure they are someone with whom you're comfortable working. -- John W.
