help with outlook 2007
I have been trying like crazy to set up microsoft outlook 2007 to work with
any of my emails but every time I configure it I get the same error message. The set of folders can not be opened. The file C:\documents&settings\Michele Gauvin\Local Settings\Application Data\microsoft\outlook\michele20.ost can not be found. I have tried removing the file as suggested in a couple of threads as well as uninstalling and reinstalling outlook all to no avail. How do I fix this? |

Michelle, Are you sure you have got the correct error message. The reason I am asking is because the file with similar extension in the said folder is: "Outlook.nst". I don't have the file called: "MyName.ost". Please recheck the error message and then post back. hth |

Do you have exchange installed. *.ost files belong to the Exchange Server. For Outlook it the file name is *.pst -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. I believe you that it shows *.ost files . Unfortunately those files belong to the Exchange Server. Do you have or did you have Exchange installed on your system? Let us know As far as the BCM issue goes ,I suggest that you post it to the BCM newsgroup where the experts for bcm hang out On the web: http://www.microsoft.com/communities...ic.outlook.bcm -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. The Outlook Connector, depending on its and Outlook's versions, may use an NST file or it may use an OST file for its cache. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
